This week’s newsletter will be a quick one. If you’re also subscribed to our Arden mailing list, you’ll know that I sort of poured my heart out to our community earlier this week so I won't rehash it here. Essentially I shared a little bit about how Arden — and honestly, every restaurant in Portland — is feeling the dampened holiday spirits and broader economic uncertainty right now.
The response was truly overwhelming and has left me misty-eyed and humbled. We filled our books for the rest of the month and can now head into our two-week annual January closure with so much more peace of mind. So from the bottom of my heart: thank you!
And on that note of gratitude, I thought I’d use today to spread some holiday joy and share a few small things that made me smile this week (and hopefully will for you too!) - both wine related and otherwise...
